What Customers Say About Sennheiser HD-212 Headphones (Silver):

If you want a nice pair of headphones that will last and give you a range of options for use for a low cost, these are the ones to go with. Watching movies with them, playing video games, listening to music, they seem to handle it all very well. I use these when I get home from work at 4am and don't want to upset the neighbors with the surround sound.and I must say, for the cost, I couldn't ask for better. I gave them a 5 because I've fallen in love with these headphones.I only really have one complaint.prolonged wearing with glasses gets slightly uncomfortable.but if you don't wear any, no worries. I've had a pair of these headphones for almost four years. I can't say I have many issues whatsoever. The bass can be slightly overwhelming at times if you are an audiophile, but suit my needs well.especially when watching movies.

The sound is also nice and clear and if you have good sound card in your computer, you will feel the difference, as I have Creative Xi-Fi card, which made a difference. I found the HD 212 pro is very comfortable even after using it for hours. I have it over a year and still working like the first day I bought it. The first time I saw those headphones, was in Virgin stores, they had them in all of their music cd player. I tried it for few minutes, to see how it feels, most import thing for me isn't the sound but how comfortable it is, as I use headphone while I am browsing on the net, which I do a lot everyday and for hours. The other thing that I like is the strength of the HD 212, it has fallen from me many, and nothing happened to it.

However, once on Amazon, I read more and more reviews about how the MDR-XB700 are pretty weak. So I bought these Sennheiser headphones based on consumer reviews and WOW.I am listening to them right now and I feel like I'm in the middle of the dance floor of an awesome club. I tried them in the Sony store and was disappointed. Being a fan of Sony, I was %99 sure that I would purchase the MDR-XB700. Now I know that I was wrong. I always thought that Sony produced the best an highest quality products. These headphones are amazing, the Bass response is incredible. But I thought that that was the most bass a pair of headphones could produce.

In any case, these headphones are top notch-recommended. The sound is great. I've had these headphones since Nov. 2008, and they are still as amazing as the first day I received them. Bass is just right, but I'm partial to bass since I've always had a subwoofer in my car since 16 yrs old.

Trust me, the sound quality on all the other cans I mentioned increases in that order, but of course suffers from the build quality equally - They all break. Get ready to spend 4-5 times and look else where. I've used mine for practicing practically every now and then, and save my pro headphones for gigs.1) If you're an average listener - If you listen to music that has heavy emphasis on bass, then buy these.nothing else. I've used mine for a period of over 4 years now and they're doing good, I just replaced an extension cable once but the build quality is rugged for daily wear n tear. (Having said that, I must advise though - if you like to hear music which has a lot of vocals, you may get a feeling that a certain frequency hitting vocals is some what supressed, so you may want to look for other options that aren't as much bass heavy).2) If you're a Dj - If you want to buy something that's sturdy and will last you a while, plus give you perfect spectrum reproduction for music like house/trance and block out external noise, since they're closed headphones.then get these and save ur pro headphones for exclusive use.(Just a tip- if you want pro headphones - You should buy Pioneer HDJ-1000, perfect in every way- lightweight, awesome tight bass, amazing mids/treble - haven't heard this perfect combination on other dj cans so far.

These headphones are particularly awesome for Electronic music heavy on bass. Pioneer HDJ-1000. I am glad Sennheiser has made these without having too many "moving parts" that break over a period of time. you'll love 'em instantly).3) If you're an audiophile - well, if you know your sound well.then I'm certain you're not looking at these to satisfy yourself. I bought this Second pair for my younger brother, since he's into Music production/Editing, etc.

As a Dj, I've used other cans like Sony MDR V700, Stanton pro 3000, and my Fav. For the price, you'll be amazed at what you're missing hearing all this while.
